Student Leadership
The Student Leadership Team are a group of elected students who represent the Core Values of Trinity Academy Grammar both in school and the local community. Through a process of written applications, interviews and Student Elections students are elected to represent and uphold the very best of TAG.
Once elected, the Student Leadership Team meet regularly to feedback the views and opinions of students, acting as a bridge between staff and students to ensure all voices are heard. Students organise various cultural celebrations such as Cultures Mornings, Eid and Christmas festivities, celebrating the cultural diversity of the student body. Students also lead on assemblies, assist at Parents Evenings and other key events within the Academy.
Roles include Student Principals, Vice Student Principals, Senior Prefects and Prefects.
The Student Leadership Pledge reads: “The Student Leadership Team aim to be outstanding role models, consistently demonstrating our four core values: empathy, honesty, respect and responsibility. Our aim is to work with the school community, as well as the wider community, in uniting us to create a better place for all. We intend to embrace and celebrate our diversity of culture, as that is what makes us unique.”
The Student Leadership Team work with various stakeholders in the community, including volunteering at Memory Lane Café in Halifax, litter picks and volunteering at St Augustine’s in Halifax.
The Student Leadership team have elected to support and fundraise for St Augustine’s Charity in Halifax again this year. St Augustine’s are a refugee charity supporting some of the most vulnerable people across Halifax and Calderdale. Students have attended various events and volunteered their time to support the charity, alongside various fundraising events. These include Bake Sales, Secret Candy Cane and serving refreshments at school productions.
