Trinity Scholars

Trinity Scholars is a programme that is offered to Y10 students focusing on academic enrichment and personal development. It is open to all students in Y10, who are selected through an application process which involves demonstrating how they have met the Academy’s core values. Applications are also supported by a reference from members of staff to mirror the application process of colleges, universities and future jobs.

The programme is a great opportunity for students to gain further skills that strengthen their CV and open them up to a broader range of activities and experiences outside of the careers and personal development offering already available to all students.

Students are able to engage with academic literature and research a range of different specialisms as well as attending workshops and talks from various guest speakers and industry professionals. There is an additional time commitment to this programme and students are expected to complete assignments and challenges alongside their academic work and extra-curricular activities; but students are rewarded for this with trips and experiences that will increase cultural capital and support their future at elite academic institutions. Places on Trinity Scholars are a privilege therefore students will be expected to display an exemplary work ethic and always meet the professional standards. Students who are part of the Student Leadership Team are given priority for places as students who have already given so much to the Academy and student body.

This year some of the highlights of the Trinity Scholars programme are:

  • Meet the Professionals workshop with The University of Bradford – November 2024
  • A visit to The University of Cambridge – February 2025
  • A visit to The University of Oxford – May 2025
  • Invite to attend TAG Graduation ceremony – July 2025
