Summer School Report

Places at this year’s Summer School were offered to all students who were due to start at Trinity Academy Grammar in September 2021. The aim of the week was to allow our new students to get to know the building, staff and each other to support their transition to secondary school.

The week was loosely based on the J.K. Rowling novel, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, which gave the sessions a common theme to base the activities upon.

Students were able to take part in a daily range of activities including P.E., Art, French, Maths and Science, to name just a few. Each day included a real focus on literacy, with students engaging in role model reading with a dedicated member of staff.

The week was thoroughly enjoyed by all who attended and has noticeably helped the students to settle down into their new academic life at Trinity Academy Grammar. Well done to all our attendees on their achievements during Summer School!
