Professional Standards

Our Personal Development programme is underpinned by our Professional Standards curriculum.  This is how we teach students the professional standards that we believe will lead them to success in their future lives:  Conduct, Dedication, Organisation, Pride and Values.  These are the standards by which we expect all students and staff to act, and we have an explicit curriculum, taught through tutor time, assemblies, and a consistent language around the academy, that aims to support students to not only understand our academy expectations, but also to be confident in why those expectations are important.

The Professional Standards Curriculum teaches students the reasons behind the rules we have at the academy, so that they are not just blindly following rules, but making conscious decisions about the right way to behave.

Trinity Academy Grammar is committed to upholding the highest standards and expectations. Our Professional Standards serve as a guide for all staff, students, and other stakeholders to adhere to in order to foster a positive learning environment. By upholding these standards, Trinity Academy Grammar aims to promote a culture of excellence, accountability, and mutual respect within the academy and wider community.

Conduct

The way we behave. Professional conduct is behaving in a way that is appropriate, respectful and ethical. It involves acting in a manner that reflects positively on you, the Academy and the wider community.

Organisation

Managing and prioritising our responsibilities. Professional organisation is the ability to manage and prioritise tasks. It includes being punctual and it involves being organised, prepared and meeting deadlines to be ready to learn.

Dedication

Being committed. Professional dedication in school is the commitment and enthusiasm we have towards our work. It means having a purpose and being willing to put in the effort to achieve a goal.

Pride

Feeling proud of yourself, your achievements and the communities you are in. Professional pride means presenting your work to the best of your ability. It encourages you to work hard and feel success from doing a good job.

Values

The moral (right) thing to do. Professional values in school, focusing on the values of empathy, honesty, respect, and responsibility, are a guide to good behaviour and decision-making in a manner that is ethical, moral, and socially responsible.
