Trinity Academy Grammar Praised by Secretary of State for Excellent Outcomes for Pupils

Trinity Academy Grammar is extremely proud to share that we have received formal praise from the Secretary of State for Education for delivering exceptional outcomes for disadvantaged pupils, placing our academy among the very best schools nationally.

In a letter to the school, Bridget Phillipson, Secretary of State for Education, congratulated our leaders, staff and pupils on their achievements at the end of the 2024/25 academic year, describing our performance as a “significant achievement”. She highlighted that this success demonstrates what is possible when ambition, commitment and hard work come together.

The Secretary of State also encouraged Trinity Academy Grammar to continue sharing good practice with other schools nationally, recognising the academy as an example of excellence that can support wider improvement across the sector.

This recognition builds on our recent accolade, the Edurio Parent Engagement Award, where Trinity Academy Grammar was named one of the top ten schools in the country for engaging and working in partnership with parents and carers.

Michael Gosling, CEO of Trinity Multi-Academy Trust, said:
“This achievement reflects the dedication of our staff, the resilience of our pupils, and the shared ambition across our Trust. We are relentless in our belief that disadvantage should never define a child’s future, and this recognition is a testament to that commitment.”

Charlie Johnson, Executive Principal, added:
“We are incredibly proud of what has been achieved at Trinity Academy Grammar. Every pupil, regardless of their starting point, is given every opportunity to achieve and thrive.”

Principal Liz Fairhurst commented:
“This recognition belongs to our pupils and staff. Our students consistently demonstrate determination and ambition, and our team works tirelessly to ensure every child is known, valued and understood.”

At Trinity Academy Grammar, we remain committed to ensuring that all young people, whatever their background, benefit from high-quality teaching, strong support, enriching experiences and the highest expectations. This praise from the Secretary of State reflects not only the achievements of our pupils but also our ongoing commitment to improving life chances for every member of our community.
